The last Torchbearer of the day, Ryan Cinnamond, 17, from Newry, carried the Flame into the evening celebrations. Ryan was nominated by Newry and Mourne District Council after suffering a ruptured aortic aneurism in 2010, and losing both his legs below the knee. Ryan never complained once during this terrible time in his life and now, nearly 12 months later, is walking with the assistance of prosthetic legs.
